CrowdStrike Terminates Employee Over Data Leak to Cybercrime Group
CrowdStrike, the Texas-based cybersecurity firm, has dismissed an employee accused of leaking internal information to Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters, a cybercrime collective. The group recently claimed responsibility for breaches involving Salesforce-connected systems and published alleged internal screenshots on Telegram.
The leaked images displayed dashboards linked to company resources, including Okta panels used for internal applications. CrowdStrike maintains its systems were not compromised, attributing the incident to unauthorized screen sharing by the terminated employee. Law enforcement has been notified.
